What an evening and what a finale! The Great Model Search® evening in Los Angeles was a lot of fun and excitement. But, for me to suggest that this is the end of the Great Model Search 2010, is a misconception, we are just moving to the next phase of the fun journey with these beautiful and talented eight ladies. Before I describe the next step, let me briefly recap the evening.
Complete with a red carpet media frenzy, the event was held at the historical El Rey Theater, in Los Angeles, CA. The ladies were showcased in front of a packed house with celebrities and dignitaries from across the country. The ladies performed incredibly well given only ONE stage rehearsal.
Included in the program was a tribute to the original founder of Johnson Products, George Johnson, that was simply awe inspiring and inspirational. Mr. Johnson will be 83 years old in a few days, but spoke with the elegance, poise and vibrancy of someone half his age. He was in a single word, MAGNIFICENT, with his message as he “passed the torch” to Renee and myself. We have some big shoes to fill.
But the magnificence of the evening was with the models. Since each contestant performed without any missteps, the judging was very, very close, but in the end the judges chose the following four (4) Grand Prize Winners (in alphabetical order by last name):

- Jenise Durham, GA
- Jahminah Harris, MI
- Nicole Hill, FL
That means the four (4) runner-ups (in alphabetical order) were:
- Chamir Conley, GA
- Crystal Edwards, NY
- Sade’ McIntosh, NY
- Mia Rutledge, AL
The Grand Prize winners will receive $5,000 and the runner-ups will receive $1,500. All of the contestants are invited to New York to be involved with the next phase, the professional model shoot.
Like I indicated earlier, we have only just begun, The Great Model Search® continues on. First, everyone who has entered maintains the opportunity to be discovered. Our new advertising agency, The Uniworld Group, is reviewing all the pictures sent to us for possible future consideration. Second, each of the “Elite Eight”, will be photographed and evaluated for the many packaging, advertising and promotional opportunities we have planned. Which model for what product, advertising or promotion has yet to be determined. We are eager to see how they perform in a professional studio environment. While the placement is under our sole discretion, our agency will help us with our decision, because all of the models are very talented. So stay tuned!
Finally, I want to thank all of you who supported the ladies who have graced our website. I especially want to express my appreciation to those friends and family members who traveled the miles to be with us in Los Angeles. It is because of you the evening was fun and exciting.
